So I did an oil and filter change this weekend. I'm starting to do them every 7500 miles now that I have the APR stage 1 tune. Only problem I had was getting the drain plug for the oil filter loose. I used a 6mm hex to loosen the filter drain but it would not turn and I started to strip it. I decided to just loosen the filter housing with a 32mm socket and got the filter out. Little more mess but no big deal. Only concern is that I believe there is a rubber gasket for the drain plug that I did not replace.

Is this your first time doing the oil change on the car? Whoever did the last one vastly over tightened the drain plug. Fix it next time while the filter housing is off. You may need a replacement housing if you cannot get it out. $70 The small o-ring will last till the next change.

got another filter housing ordered ($55 ecstuning). Will put it on next oil change in 7500 miles. very easy oil change in fact the most time consuming this was removing the 18 or so screws to get the under body cover off. I had the front end jacked up and let it drain for an hour. I took exactly 8.8 quarts to fill it full just as the manual states.
