Phone speed dial and text?

I tried the search function and didn't find much so I thought I'd try you guys.

Is there a speed dial function where I can program 6 numbers and call by pressing the number?

Also, is there a text function where it'll notify me of an incoming text and read it to me?

Only if you have MMI High option fitted. If you have the touchpad, you have MMI High.

If your phone is correctly paired to Bluetooth, you will get an indication (Icon) on the pop-up screen, as well as whatever sound you get from the phone.

If you press the voice command button on the steering wheel and say "Read new text message" it should open the text on the MMI screen and read it out loud.

Your car should have a separate MMI Handbook, with all the details.

If you don't have the handbooks, set up your MyAudi.com account (you will need your VIN number) and you can access the owner manuals online.

I have a touch pad that shows 1-6 but when I pressed the voice button reading text is not one of the options shown on screen. When I said read new text, the system replied "pardon?"
