I have the red ones and I was a little disappointed in their brightness. Your pics of the white ones look a lot brighter. Red is still cool though, they're just not as bright.

There is a reason pilots use red flashlights at night to look at maps and checklists: it is the least energy dense color of visible light, so they're eyes don't adjust too quickly when they look outside again.

I'm surprised you thought their red footwells weren't bright. My set has just enough pop without being distracting.
You should hit them up. Their customer service is awesome and if you're not satisfied with them or you feel they're not up to snuff, they'll do their best to work something out.
