Ziza interior kit ; Flickering light + comparaison

I bought an ebay 20$ kit while I was in love with the cool blue 6000k color, some light would flicker from times to times ( it would happens much more often when the car wasn't running so I guess when the voltage is at lower spec it would flick and when the voltage is at 14volt because it's running, it was fine.

But yeah you know.. you drive an Audi S4.. and I think it look cheap if your light flicker ( even if it happens 1 times per week..) so I went ahead with the Ziza kit from ECS at 5x times the price of my ebay kit.

The first thing that stood me is how white the color is.. which honestly I don't really like. It's almost too bright really. A cool blue was much more pleasant to the eyes and less aggressive.

But then, I started seeing my gas light in my cluster flicker.. I thought wtf was that.. Until I did 1+1 ( It's exactly right after I installed the Ziza kit). Now even worse, it can die completely and will randomly lit up back. Anyone had this before ??

Any thought ? Is there a quality led kit with 6000k that won't flicker ? ( I beleive deautokey is also a 5k temp so no point in changing for them)

I bought the ziza ones also and agree they are too bright for those lights up top. I don't even use those anymore. I have never had any issue with flickering or the gas light flicker.

one of those things where never saw the need -- the stock interior lighting is fine. I did do my fog light bulbs with high output LED's and like those a lot. Us car forum people --just can't leave our cars alone!

well... I found led (5500-6500k color temp) to look much more modern and considering the B8.5 already has led footbed and license plate light, I think it's crazy and cheap that Audi didn't offer led back up light and the whole interior in LED so I took care of this issue :) lol

Mine does the same this. My bottom left light in my cluster goes out or flickers all the time. But has done that since I got it. First thing I did was a Ebay led kit. And lost all flickers. I need a solution... I dont think light in the cluster is related since it was doing it with even the OEM ones in. But if u find a fix besides a new cluster or sending out to have someone replace all the lights let me know

There's LEDs behind the gauge cluster faces. I bought my S4 used and noticed the "5" in the RPM gauge looked dimmer than the rest. Took apart the cluster and turns out that some of the LEDs were burnt out. If it's flickering, then the LEDs are about to go out. I just soldered in new LEDs and that fixed it.

Not too hard to do? Still able to dim the cluster lights with the knob by the headlight switch?

I'm way too chicken to play with my cluster... so the problem have been there since this thread lol.. the led never burnt. it might have to do with the voltage of the battery, i think it happens more often when im sitting on a red light than driving.

Yeah it's been going it since I got the car. Been two years now. Still works but randomly flickers. Just recently the other side started doing it for the fuel gauge. Even seen center do it conple times randomly too
