ESP activated during hard acceleration

When I accelerate quickly, ESP activates and the engine goes Limp. Will turning 'Off' the ESP hurt my acceleration?

Hold down ESP for 3 seconds. Everything is going to be OK.

Even if you turn esp off, and you make enough power (or have shitty tires) to get wheelspin, it's going to shortshift and feel similar anyways. Gotta learn how to modulate the throttle brotha

Is no one else going to mention that this shouldn't be happening to OP at all? I've never experienced this, even in the rain at WOT. Audi makes excellent AWD systems and are more than capable of putting the S4's power down no problem.

Depends on his mods, weather, and tractive surface. I can def do it <50° easily as my tires start to get hard and cold.

A stock S4 will easily blaze all 4 tires in the rain??? On slippery/polished dry pavement it can also break the tires loose, around a corner it's quite easy to get wheel spin. I don't care how good of an AWD system you have...... if the tires aren't gripping the road it will result in wheel spin.

ESP is basically a security feature, which disables the engine when the accelerator is depressed in an attempt to accelerate.

It's an essential part of the "Oh SH*T!" prevention package. I hope the OP realizes this. I also hope he or she knows the difference between pressing the button momentarily and holding it down for a few secs.

Press Once= retards ESP but will kick in during extreme limits
Press & Hold= shuts it completely off
