How mechanical are you? Also if the transmission hasn't been changed it will need to be soon... and there has to be something else wrong for 1200...

I've done a engine and trans swap in an A4 before so I think I'd be able to do this.
I just don't know to much about the s4 and what it's worth. But for 1200 im sure it would need some work but I just wasn't sure if it's worth it or not

Really hard to say considering the lack of information in the ad. But it's craigslist, get the details, offer 700 and see what happens lol

How willing would you be to undertake parting it out if it's got more issues than you want to deal with? You might be able to get a couple thousand for the parts, so yes, the parts in the picture are probably worth more than $1200.
