Is interior carbon trim an option or a custom upgrade?

I noticed in some pics people have this nice carbon trim on the dash, doors and manual stick area.

Is that custom or OEM option?

OEM. You could get either the carbon fiber or the brush aluminum. The OEM RS4 weave is a 20 oz 2x2 twill weave, while much of 'normal' carbon fiber is 11 oz 2x2 twill. The piano black trim was only on the exclusive package in 2008.

The piano black trim was also a part of the titanium package, which was only offered in 2008.

If you have an 07 with the exterior blacked out, it was likely converted. On a titanium car, the front grill and window trim are black, mirror and wheels are grey and rear bumper trim is body color. The rear triangle window is also has a break in the trim by the back corner as opposed to a solid piece that runs from the door seam to above the window if that makes sense.
