46 Conven. Sys. Control Module Problem

Trying to figure out some odd electrical problems with my sons '02 A4 1.8TQM. My VAG Mobile will not recognize the 46 Conven. Sys. Control Module when I am checking for codes. This also means I cannot change any of the settings through the 46 block. The last owner put in a newer HAVC controller, part # 8E0 820 043 Q, which seems to be working, but not as well as the original one in my A4 does. The Bentley manual doesn't mention anything about a "Convenience System Control Module" so I am having a hard time trying to determine what the problem is. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

If you cannot figure this out or have it working properly I will be pulling mine out of my car soon. It works great but the only thing is the + and - buttons are faded. I would be willing to send it out to you if you only pay the shipping. Let me know

Great information, thanks for the link. I'll keep an eye on it.

If it was easier to remove, I could pull my CCCM and put it in my sons car to see if that fixed it. May end up being the easiest thing to do no matter.
