    Low Coolant Warning

Guest-only advertisement. Register or Log In now!
    I have a 2014 Audi S4.

Occasionally, I've been getting a low coolant warning. There is an audible alert (3 beeps), then an image on the dash. I drive a couple miles and it goes away. The car is NOT low on coolant and is NOT leaking coolant. This is a 100% sensor issue.

Where is the sensor located that is causing this alert? I'd like to get this resolved as its annoying when it happens. Thanks for any info you can provide.

Worse case I'm just going to have the dealer fix it under warranty when I go in for my Audi Care service, but if it's something simple I can take care of I'd rather go that route.

Should be on the expansion tank. As a first step... disconnect the connector, examine both parts of it and clean the connections and see if it helps.

You may have air pockets in the system as well. You may want to check that as well.

Disconnected the sensor, cleaned the contacts and reconnected. So far so good after an hour drive!
