    SC pulley removal without tool?

Has anyone attempted to do so?
I was having overheating problems and figured out it was the thermostat housing (thanks Audizine!). So last weekend I decided to go ahead and take care of it DIY style. I had purchased the CTS pulley a while back and had been putting it off to install it due to the fact that I didn't have the pulley removal tool. So while me and my brother were changing the thermostat he asked why we didn't just change the SC pulley as well. I was a bit skeptical to let him attempt to because I hadn't heard of anyone doing it without the tool...but he did it!
I was a bit surprised to be honest but it's possible. While i wouldn't really recommend it because it was a pain in the behind (plus the mini heart attacks I was having while he was removing the old one) I guess it's doable. Anyone else had similar experience?

How did you get it off? What did you use to pull on it? I always wondered if there was a way.

You can use a generic pulley puller. You just normally damage the stock pulley doing so.

The claw puller damages the stock pulley, but it's definitely satisfying!

Ok. I was thinking it was done without pulling the bumper and all that.

I didn't have to remove the bumper actually. Since the thermostat was being replaced, all we had to do was removed the supercharger and install there. But it seems to me like it's a lot easier to just unscrew the six nuts that holds the SC down and just pick it up from the front a bit, enough to give you clearance to remove pulley than to remove bumper.
Other than that, it's true, it will ruin your old pulley removing it without the proper tool. Don't plan on going back do it didn't matter to me.
