Im about to install a dashcam and I need to remove the a pillar, but I cant figure out how.
    Does anyone know ?

I have the B&O so there is two speakers in the pillar, there is not "airbag" cap as in the B8.

It would be nice if you could put up instructions here. Since I'm sitting on the fence too regarding buying a dashcam.

I wish I could upload the Elsa/erWin docs. I'm not permitted to.

The A-pillar is two parts. Upper and lower. To remove the lower, start by popping off the cover at the edge of the dashboard. Free up the door seal from the trim piece. Then, pry the lower piece out starting at the bottom.

The upper piece has a fairly gnarly clip at the top. You can disengage most of the lower clips using a pry tool. The upper clip will require you to insert a flat head screwdriver to disengage a retaining pin. Once you see it, you'll know what to do. Essentially, pushing on the clip will pop the pin, allowing removal.
