    Coding Central Convenience Problem

Guest-only advertisement. Register or Log In now!
    Patient is a 2005 A4 1.8tq manual.

I have been trying to code the cetral convenience module 46 to eliminate the locking
at speed, door alarm and Canadian DRLs. I can connect to the module both with authorized
VAGCOM and VAG401 tools. I can read the existing coding fine but when I enter a new
value by either VAGCOM or VAG401 it is not accepted? Any thoughts on how to narrow
down why the FLASH in the Central Convenience module won't get written?

There are no codes with the CC module.... Could the module itself be the problem.

    cheers, Mike

Not that this is the solution, but I've had some trouble coding modules. Sometimes I will enter a value I know to work, but is different than what is written. Flash that then try to flash the value you want.

Doug, when you say that your enter a known value, is that the value that the PR codes give for the Login but when you try to code it doesnt code properly? I need a little clarity, i am having issues coding a module. Thanks!

So its not a Convenience module but the ABS module. The login should be 09395, and the code should be 04495. 3.0L manual with the FN3 brakes. i can log in but the code doesnt work, i get a communication issue. It my fault. i dont have VCDS so im attempting this with a VAG401. I cant change the workshop code from 00000 to anything else and i think that is my problem. Doing more research now, may have to buy a cable. later though, at least i have a speedometer again.
