2012 Audi A7 Inner Tail Light Removal? Help

I need help. How do you remove the inner tail light on a 2012 Audi A7? I removed the two screws by manually lifting the spoiler but how do you get to the one in the back of the light? Do you remove the hatch trim? If so, how?

the trim is mostly held on by metal/plastic expanding clips. If you open the section on the trunk lid that has the break down kit, there should be two screws behind that, remove them. after that get some plastic trim removal tools and start on the end closest to the roof line, you will hear loud pops for each clip you click out of the metal, do that all the way around, supporting the plastic as you go. If you have the power trunk button you need to disconnect this wire first, the whole piece should them come off.

Makes sense? i should have a few pictures as i recently retrofitted the rear view camera which involved removing most of the rear trim!

It makes sense but it seems very solidly held, afraid something will break. I have also heard that once you remove it you need a new kit with new clips because they break. Is this true?

You have to remove the trunk trim I believe, I did facelift tail lights so I had to.

You will lose some clips and rubber vibration stops. I ordered a kit for my car to replace all of them for like 50 bucks. I need less than 1/4 of the parts. If you're interested in purchasing the rest of the clips/kit from me let me know and maybe we can work something out.
