    VCDS Long coding instruments help

    Can somebody in the U.S. with an S3 post their long coding for the instruments module -17
    I am trying to see if it is possible to get the VC "S" sport display on my A3.

    It's not possible, at least not with VCDS. If you visit this thread: http://www.audi-sport.net/xf/threads...206515/page-74, DJAlix talks about how it is possible but needs an alternative software (and of course he doesn't share how to do it as he sells his services to do this kind of stuff and wants to protect them). You can reach out to him and see about how to do it but from what I read it has to be done in person.

    Also, that likely doesn't link the right page of the thread, I know it was towards the end of the thread, but I can't remember what exact page or post it was on that talks about this mod. DJAlix seems like he is an expert on the type of programming you are talking about (he even said it is possible for us S3 owners to use the power and torque gauges that the RS3 has if we installed the additional required hardware) and can probably answer whatever questions you have.

    Just trying to crack it myself and help out the Audi community. If the option is available then it will should show up in long coding. Worth giving it a shot. As far as the torque gauges go, if the RS schematics are available then you can figure out what hardware is needed.
