    Burning Oil Smell

When the car is cold and running for the first few minutes, there is a distinct burning oil smell that comes into the cabin and present outside. But techs during the last oil change said everything looks fine, no leaks. Once warmed up it seems to go away. Any ideas?

That is probably your cat. Catalysts do not work until they are very hot. Your ecu is in open loop for the 1st 30 or so seconds of the engine running and is running rich, combined with the cat not filtering out as many unburned combustion gases.

This is very odd, as the engine is simply not hot enough at this point to actually burn the oil. Could be built up blow by in
The PCV/ oil seperator but that is unlikely.

Should I expect the same thing with a performance exhaust?
