    Keyless entry

I have a 2002 a6 2.7t APB engine. I have the immo light flashing on my dash which shows me that the ECU doesnt have immo because i can start and drive car fine. Im pretty confident that ecu and engine came from an S4 (M-Box). I only got 1 key for the car but, I doubt it has ever been programmed to this ecu. So, it unlocks manually in door but keyless will not work. Ive tried a few methods for 1 key solution and nothing will seem to program. I guess i will need to buy another key? If so, im going to get a blank from ECS have a locksmith cut it and I can program myself at that point, correct? Seems like the most trusted method is one key in ignition, and other to be programmed in door. Anyone experience something similar? Once these keys are programmed to an ecu, can they be linked to another? Or is my current key never going to do keyless entry.

Buy a cheap key on eBay.

The immo and the remote to unlock are separate features/systems. Search around for programming remote unlock and ignore stuff about the immo.
