Took the A7plus out for a romp to check out Stage II (APR)

I got the pulley installed and flashed a couple of weeks ago, but had not really had a chance to get on it a bit.

My observations:
1. Stage I was just a blast...the difference compared to stock was such a leap!
2. Stage II not as much of a leap, but more bottom, low end. and then a whoosh of speed!

All of this in sport mode or tip, it makes a world of difference. The S7 sport exhaust sounds mellifluous, it was the perfect choice for me.
The S7 Brembos are pretty awesome too.

Could not be happier with the out come.

It bolts right up but you need the S7 diffuser. You also need to tack weld (or JB weld) the exhaust valves open.

Interesting, I wonder if the S6 would be able to be swapped as well. I guess the valves are normally controlled by the ECU?

I believe the A/S/6/7 are the same exhaust wise. Valve system is computer controlled on the S versions.

You could wire some power to the valves and control them manually with an AWE switchpath.

Ebay for 2.5k... It was cheaper than the aftermarket Brembo GT kit for the C7. Plus the S7 Brembos are bigger 400mm vs 380mm

Your car is an inspiration for me, very clean and done right. I am enjoying the EPL stage 2 I just installed. I am still stalking seats on eBay.de or debating getting a set here and having them recovered. The end goal is the same, creating a world class A7.

Dido.... does it sound better then the awe touring? I didn't think it would improve sound because of our v6 engine.
So you just purchased a used s7 stock exhaust and welded the valves to stay open. Video please!!!

I was very concerned and didn't want it too loud nor the "dreaded drone." I put the full mtm catback on my C5, and the little lady hated it! I didn't hate it but in 5 gear, it sucked! I had a 5 speed tip. I wanted something that was very stock looking. This particular system is the S7 sport a sophisticated rumble with black tips. I did have the valves spot welded open, and I only did the rear mufflers. I got cold feet and didn't want to add the middle resonator. I will try and post a sound clip soon.

Thank you, I'm happy for you. You've put a lot of heart and soul into getting your A7 into shape. I've got a couple things to finish I have the parts, but the labor is going to bite! Keep at it!

I swapped in the 2 rear S7 "sport" mufflers, yep!

I installed the rear sections only, but already had a magna flow resonated x-pipe and AWE res DPs installed. I almost swapped out the resonated x-pipe for a non-res, but I don't really want it any louder than it is.
