I'd like to know what kind of electrical tools we are using to make life easier when crimping terminals on electrical wire, and for tapping into electrical circuits with a multi-meter. Any input at all is greatly appreciated.

I used to use those tap things...a long time ago. Too many problems. Now I solder most everything. It takes a little longer, but I never have to do it twice.

For my Fluke, I have a long cable with 4 wires in it. I soldered colored alligator clips on the ends and I use that for continuity tests. Its long enough I can test continuity from a rear ABS plug to the ABS module under the hood.

Germans love using wire taps for whatever reason....even on their cooking equipment (Rational, Miele). They usually always fail. Even if you're not as ambitious as Denio24, wire nuts work worlds better and will hold the duration of the repair/mod. Many ways to do it, just find what works for you.

Piercing probes to probe wires without exposed metal are great especially when you don't have access to a wire and don't want to cut it. Otherwise standard probes and/or alligator screw on attachments, fluke DMM with auto shutoff.

I use standard crimpers / wire splicers, temperature adjustable soldering iron, heat shrink tubes, flux (that comes in the injection needles) solder (with lead preferred if you can find it), solder wick, mini exhaust fan, helping third hand with magnifier glass.
