Anybody ever replace their DSG trans mount?

Has anyone ever had one of these fail or had NVH issues that were caused by one?

Are you speaking about the DSG transmission mount insert that some of the vendors on here sell?

If so, I haven't had mine fail, but I did upgrade to a solid insert. After being on the fence about it, I finally drove a car with it and it was a revelation in terms of how much more solid the drivetrain felt between upshifts, throttle on/off situations that I purchased one myself.

Same as Loe, haven't had any failures but I have replaced all the OE mounts/inserts that have upgraded solid options available.

I believe this man is talking about the 034 trans mount ( not the billet insert)

I'm also wondering because it's only 25$, but it takes about 1hr of labor ( and another one hour if you end up not liking it).

Right now I'm having a clunk/loose feeling under my armrest and I think it's the trans mount so maybe the billet is knocking.. maybe the yeld to totrque bolt is not properly torqued.. maybe my insert is worn.. not sure what's going on down there lol Might replace my billet for the ecs one.

Thanks for the responses. I'm sort of just trying to pre-diagnose an NVH issue. My PS pump is newly whining and I have some roughness during acceleration and I'm wondering how much of it is the pump, which I'm going to replace. I've done the 034 insert but I'm wondering if lowering the subframe a couple of times doing my engine mounts may have compromised the DSG mount itself, since it is a rubber item and whether I should replace it while I have some lift time.

Waxxon- I had a similar experience, and even if I don't replace the mount itself I'll likely replace/retorque the two bolts that go into the inserts.
