    Lower door mouldings on eBay

    Hey all. I just bought a couple sets of lower door mouldings off of eBay from Lithuania. Original sale price was $35 + $20 shipping for the first set and free shipping for the second set. I offered $25 and they countered at $34 so I tried $31 and he auto accepted so I'm sure they would have accepted $30 if I tried. Got two sets for $82 shipped. Hopefully they are good enough quality. Anything is better than the torn and half falling off set I have on mine.

    Nice!!! Good to hear. I was surprised to see them at that price. I remember seeing them at $100. Was sold at $35 but saw the offer button so why not give it a try?

    Well I got my two sets in and they do leave something to be desired. There is a small gap along the top and it definitely could be tighter. Also the front door swiped that come out were all bent up as they shipped them in nice packaging but thought to myself, how are they going to stop the tips from bending in transit? Well they didn't and now they are all bent out of shape. I could try some heat and bend them in but hopefully they will relax as time goes on.

    It is much better than having them half off from being rusted but on my second A4 that is silver, you can totally see it if you are looking. I'll have to try them on my black one and see if I notice. If you want OEM fit, go that way. If you want to replace broken and missing moldings, then this may be the ticket.

    Mine came in fine and fit like stock. So not sure what happened, but I would contact the seller.

    Perfect fit, but the brass piece inside the trim piece itself stripped immediately upon tightening.

    Is there any gap on the top where it meets the car? Maybe I need new tabs or something.

    Nope. They were shipped goofy in a curved box which certainly didnt help, but no gap.
