For those with St x coilovers.. (pics and opinion request)

I have a 07 3.2 quattro and im looking to drop her soon. I cant spend over 1000 right now so it seems my only option is the ST x coilovers. Would you recommend these for a daily? I wont be racing my car at all. I just want a comfortable ride with a nice drop. A little less body roll and floatiness would be great for highway speeds though. Also any pictures of how low then can go? Any pictures of them installed would be great actually. Also do i have any other options in the sub 1000 range? I was looking at solowerks until i realized they dont make them for the c6.

I'd go with Vogtland's over the ST's. Best coilovers under a grand.

Here's mine right after I got the wheels put on, this is a 2007 3.2, I've had them on now for 90k miles with no issues. Good stance and adjustable.

I have ST's and I daily my car. I think they are fine, I would recommend them to anyone not looking to drop the $$ for H&R's or KW's.
Ride is comfortable, basically stock, but a little firmer. I think there is less body roll, although I came from H&R Street springs so I can't make a 100% comparison. If Body Roll is something you are concerned with, I'd rec buying the H&R Sway Bars (budget - start with the rear then get the front if you desire more control). They're pretty cheap and easy to install.

    Here is mine on ST's - moderate drop - F:26"FTG / R:26.25"FTG - 255/8.5/R19

I agree, I put on rear sway bar from h&r last summer, definitely tightened up the car.

That drop is perfect for me.. thanks you. I will definitely look into the sway bars. Out of curiosity.. Is that the coils at their lowest? Any rubbing issues

DAMN yall are quick. I was the first to respond when I originally clicked quote... must have slept on my response.

BUT, I FORGOT TO MENTION - the ST's are NOT a stainless steel, the outside is some form of galvanized steel. While most people have experiences zero problems, there are some who live in cold climates that say the road salt causes corrosion of the exterior of the strut. This most frequently happens around the adj. rings.
So, If you plan on running C/O's and want to adjust ride height frequently (or seasonally to accommodate winter/summer setups) you MAY want to think about spending the extra $$.
I will add that there are a number of forums that say as song as a good degreaser as applied to the rings, and the C/Os are sprayed down regularlly, there should not be any problems.

    Just some food for thought.

That's correct, I'm in st Louis and it can get pretty cold and the sky sucks, you have to wash them from time to time in such climates but I'm almost at 100k and 4 years on mine with no issues. As you noted they're not stainless that's the only difference between the ST & KW.
