Avants on air - how's your compressor noise?

Looking into air (really missing it) and with 2 kids under 3, sound is a big concern. With the compressors being inside the car, I'm hoping to see some videos/ sound clips of your setups and some info on the noise level. Any comparisons of 1 vs. 2 compressors in avants would be awesome too

I have these isolators mounted on a board and it's pretty quiet. They're Airlift style for half the price. They also have a few other styles if you check the sellers listings. I highly recommend them. IDK how to load a video on Tapatalk.

It's a lot to do with how they're mounted and also the size compressors your get. I have twin 444s on an accuair exo mount system and it's not too bad.

I had a 3 gallon tank and 1 compressor on my gti and jetta, could barely hear it when installed in the wheel well.

Good enough for what I needed, I didn't play with it much.

There are also some compressors that can be mounted outside the car.

Good to know. I won't be using it much - looking at a 4 gallon and two 444c's. Could probably get away with one, but they cut off of so fast with 2. But...double the loud.

Keep an eye on Accuair. They should be coming out with (it might already be?) a tank that has the compressor inside. There's a video of them demoing it at SEMA and it's nearly silent. Pretty cool piece of kit!

Saw it out at SEMA - so badass. It's actually the manifold that is inside the tank, the compressor still have to be mounted externally. But it's such an amazing advancement in air - and so clean!

You sure? I'm by no means an expert but thought there was the ENDO-CVT system coming out this summer that has the compressor and valves inside the tank.

This setup looks really cool! Apparently this single compressor is equal in output to two 444's.

Cool advancement in tech, but I would be somewhat reluctant to go that route unless the internals are serviceable without replacing the whole unit.

I believe they are serviceable! The ENDO tanks look like they've been designed with every precaution in place. The ends of the tanks can be unbolted to access whatever is inside, whether it be the manifold or the compressor. I believe they're also tested to like 800psi, which is waaaay more than you'd ever need for air suspension.

I have my full setup, including 2 compressors, tucked in the spare wheel well. When the system is running it's like a hum. Not loud but definitely noticeable. It's not bad at all. If they turn on while I'm driving, I usually can't even tell. I mounted everything directly to a piece of MDF and created a foam pad for it to all rest on. Overall it's very quite when I compare it to when I did my A4 and had the compressors hidden in the side of the trunk.

Well fuck me. That's right! Such a badass setup. I was thinking of the current offering.
