Rare opportunity to own a "turn key," well sorted and maintained '02 S6 with an 01E 6 speed conversion. The manual transmission completely transforms the S6, leaving you smiling ear to ear as you row through the gears.
History:
Original owner was/is an Audi factory certified technician at Ed Carroll Porsche / Audi in Fort Collins, CO. The second owner had it only for a short period of time before being transferred overseas, consigning it at Ed Carroll to expedite the sale. I purchased it in May 2012 with about 60k miles. *** All work/service performed while in my possession completed by Audi factory certified technicians @ Berg Performance in Denver, CO. Service:
All service records are available since my ownership starting in 2012 (can provide on request). Previous service records are not available, but I spent a considerable amount of time with first owner to get comfortable that vehicle was maintained accordingly before I purchased it. Full synthetic oil changes are routinely performed by Berg Performance every 5k miles. Timing belt service completed at 67,600 miles and is good for another 30k miles. This S6 has no deferred maintenance!
Over the ~ 12 months, the following services/repairs were completed:
- 01E 6 speed conversion
- Replaced OEM cats with high flow cats
- Replaced Power steering pump and hose
- Replaced front pads and rear rotors / pads
- Replaced battery
- Replaced valve cover gasket
- Rebuilt CV joint
Exterior / Interior Condition:
- Overall, above average
- Front right, lower bumper is cracked, but can easily be addressed by professionally glueing, airbrushing/clearcoating
- Minor dings/scratches as one would expect for a 15 year old car, but nothing significant
- Some peeling on interior buttons (damn that "soft touch" material)
- Leather on seats in great shape with minimal wear on driver's seat bolsters
- OEM all weather rubber and carpet mats included
- LATCH system installed on passenger side; have hardware for driver's side but never installed (very hard to come by anymore and included with sale)
- Small card pocket on drivers side door inoperable, but in "closed" position
- Never smoked in
- No holes, stains, tears in interior seats / carpet / headliner
- No missing pixels in cluster, climate control, or radio head unit
Wheels/tires:
Currently outfitted with winter set-up - 18 x 8.5 RS6 rep wheels wrapped in 225 40 18 Nokian Hakk 4 tyres with at least 8/32 of tread (curbing on wheels)
- ECS 10MM spacers and extended wheel bolts installed on all four corners to clear brakes and provide aggressive stance
- Can include the 19 x 10 Hartmann HPO-310 Porsche Fuch reps wrapped in Dunlop performance rubber (as pictured) with the H&R hardware (TRAK+ Wheel spacers, bolts, bolt covers), but the price goes up (negotiable)
Colorado title is clean and in hand. Ideally, would love to see this car go to another enthusiast who will appreciate it. It has been an extremely reliable car and a blast to drive, especially in the snow. This S6 turns a lot of heads and gets a ton of respect from others who know how rare it is.
