Will a b7 engine fit into my b8 chassis?

I have a 2010 Audi a4.. With the 2.0t FSI engine. Well oil consumption problem happen to me. Audi would Have covered the recall to 6 years old OR 90k miles. Well go figure my audi broke down. Due to carbon build up burning oil rods are shot and block is cracked now. AND MY CAR IS AT 92,398 miles and they won't cover the recall and want 6500$ to fix it. New pistons and rings new block and w.e else they do to fix the recall. My brother has a 2008 audi a4 S LINE with the 2.0t FSI engine... With 66k miles! My car is Standard his auto but will his engine swap right into mine? I know mine Is time chain is time belt but that shouldn't matter much correct? If anything I can probably snap the harness and ecu from him as well... Please let me know asap

Yes, Swap away keep wiring and ecu together and keep your flywheel for mission less you want auto...

@moxi thank you and ya I have both full sets up so everything I need is here! Just decoded that since there is a bigger parts platform for the b7 2.0t engine I'm gunna build the engine, pistons rods cams the whole 9 and the put it into my car! Big turbo ext so maybe I'll start a new thread on progress we started pulling the engine out today I'm just gunna put it on a stand and tear it down, use the pistons in my engine I have now and then buy all new hardware for the b7 2.0t!!!

I was just thinking....the b7 engine** is automatic and my car is standard. I already see my trans will mount to the b7 engine but ....my B8 ECU* won't work for this b7 engine will it...so I need a b7 ecu its the only thing I'm gunna have to buy. Mid as well buy a stage 2 chipped ecu that's pre tuned I'm gunna put some parts in the b7 engine before it goes back in my car. Pistons rods cams and few other little things
