I really need some help here guys, I've installed a Nexus 7 tablet with a OTG charging cable and easycap for a simple 12v RCA reverse camera. I have everything functional in my house, but in the car I'm experiencing issues I assume relate to the pulse width modulation.
My problem is powering the camera while in reverse, I've tried to power the camera directly to the reverse light and it would flicker about 3 times and then stop completely. So, like many other DIY tutorials I have hooked up a relay using the reverse light as a trigger to complete the easycap circuit. Only now the relay is doing the same, it turns on and off about 3 times and stops completely.
Is this indeed the PAM? If so is there a way around the problem?
Note: I am powering the tablet, a satellite radio, and easycap with a jumper connected to fuse 31 (Reverse Light Fuse). It gets 12v regardless if in reverse or not. I'm using 31 because it is only powered with the ignition on. Could it be possible the relay isn't getting enough power because of accessories on the same rail?
I appreciate any help, thank you.
