Does it happen with stock ECU only or with tuning SWs(APR, Uni etc.) as well ?

    Hi Mat ,

Thanks for your replay. I've just installed P3 and have started to follow IAT.

is it normal to see the IAT slowly climb a degree or two after letting off throttle and just coasting to a stop light?

i just barely started noticing since my p3 is now correctly reporting this with the update

i can sit at stop and go traffic and see anywhere between 32-36 iat depending on how long i'm sitting at it it'll peak off at 40 if i've been just sitting in the car idling for 10 minutes on a hot day , but when i'm on the freeway and cruising it's down at 29-30c range

    Dafuq... what's ambient? 50*F?

It's mid-90s where I live and lowest I see cruising is 49*C with it climbing to 60*C at long stoplight. Slow stop and go traffic it sits at 52-54*C.

    ambient is 59-63 recently =)

also i have an AMS cooler, so i think that helps a little

but earlier in the week, during lunch time when it was 90F, my low sitting point was closer to 50C idling at a stoplight, stop and go hovered around 40-45c, free way heading home was around or between 35-40c

I would like to hear from others running the MercRacing front mount, preferably with a divorced setup. Is 140-160 F a good charge air cooler temp reading using a CWA50 pump?

I think that would depend on ambient temps. Also, are you at highway speeds seeing 140-160?

Yes, highway speeds as well. And re: the thread age, you must be aware that B8 Audis are now like 14 years old. Is there some rule here where a person can't search for an old topic and reply to it? LOL

140-150 at highway speeds crusing is higher than I've ever seen in my car. My IAT's are usually between 90-105F depending on the season. I easily see those numbers on a hard pull though.

I started with Merc v1 hx + divorced + cwa50s @100%,, I always maintained a 20f above ambient highway cruising and around 20-30f in the streets. Winter, summer; didn't matter here in Cali. (Even when it was 100f).
Then added the Vap ports + an additional cwa50s pre hx,, temps would stay between 18-25 above ambient. Winter, summer didn't matter.
Then I swapped to the big boy Merc hx and utilized both lower inlets and now I'm down to like 12-15f above ambient. Winter tested so far. Even on those random 80-90f days we've randomly had it still doesn't go past 20f.

Your 140-160 is waay too hot. Especially you being in the NE.
You've got air in your system. Possibly your pump isn't working well.
The same throttle body and corn toon as everyone else.
A ported blower and the mega bitch pulley.
Lots of water and wheels lighter than my bank account.

Fresh S4, great reply. Thank you. I'm aware there is an issue... just trying to figure out if it's pump issue or air. I took the bleeders off the SC cores and there is no fluid in there. Would air in the system literally prevent the pump from pushing fluid?

If you can pull back your d/s fender liner, or better remove your front bumper, the pump is easy enough to get your hand on it to check it. If your wire isn't cut to run it 100%, I think you can have someone in the driver seat and slowly rev it, to increase the pumps speed (someone correct me).

Now if the car is on and you opened up the bleed screws and no fluid is being pushed out, that leads me to believe the pump isn't on.
If you had a big air pocket, I think it would occured in the hx.
