Hey guys, I had purchased a b6 avant that had a blown headgasket. I swapped the gasket but problem persisted, so I went to the salvage yard and found a 97 Passat with aeb 1.8t. I pulled the turbo, head, and both manifolds (basically the whole top end). I had some in and out play on my kk3 turbo so that got swapped to the ko3. I reused the cct, exhaust gear, and camshaft sensor assembly from the Amb head. I swapped over the Amb throttle body and fuel rail, but used aeb injectors (will go to aeb fuel rail in the future). I also reused the valve cover and coils from the Amb head.
Problems: idles really rough (sounds normal at 1k and over, but under 1k sounds terrible), has very minimal white sludge on dipstick(sometimes).
If you guys need me to clarify on some things, I'll respond as best as I can and will also take pictures if needed. Any advice would be of great use. Thanks.
