    Rear-view camera not fullscreen

Guest-only advertisement. Register or Log In now!
In my 2017 Audi S3, my rear-view camera is not fullscreen. I do not have the parking sensors yet it displays an outline of my car on the right part of the screen leaving the camera display squished on the left part of the screen.

Do any of you experience the same thing or are you guys getting a fullscreen camera display?

    Thanks!

Don't know why they did this. Same with mine. My brother's 2016 is perfect. Actually very annoyed by this.

In fact, I feel the distortion makes me guess more just where the car really is. Worried I might curb a wheel etc.

Can someone who has full screen camera post up their coding for their 6C - Back-up Cam controller? Ross tech hasn't released labels for that controller yet. Maybe there are programming differences between the 17's and older models that can be helpful.

My 2017 coding is as follows

    0273010100002001000040

When I test drove a 17' few week ago, the car outline on the right was for the bumper sensors. But I didn't see them light up when backing up. I wasn't near anything when I backed up tho

My car doesn't have bumper sensors so that part of the screen is super useless.

it does this on my 2017 S3 as well and super annoying... the right part of the screen should be much smaller and the camera view should become shorter so the aspect ratio is not squished.

    Thanks!

Once you're in, click on Select under the Select Control Module heading (top left option)
Then I think bottom right you should see 6C - Rear view camera, click on that
Once the next screen opens, click on Coding (bottom right part of the screen)

Once the next window pops up, you should see a number like 0273010100002001000040

Thats what Im looking for :)

    Thanks again!

You just want me to confirm coding? Then what? You'll be looking for an adaptation?

Yeah. I want to see how it was coded for yours. There are no labels in VCDS for mine currently which makes it rather difficult.

My car has the sensors. And they always flash regardless if your pulling in or backing up
