Hey everyone, just picked up an 01 laser red avant 1.8TQM with 200k. Don't have proof but PO has stated the head was rebuilt about 40k ago and there's a K04 installed, not sure about the ECU since I haven't been able to drive it. No brakes but was bled yesterday and now I have a pedal!!!!
Anyway down to the car running. The O2 sensor was cut and there was a loud tapping noise (I thought the motor was bad) now after changing the O2 sensor the noise is gone. The pipe is separated at the flex pipe so I'm looking to clamp it with an extension until I can get a replacement put on. There is also a Spectre "CAI" and a small cone filter on the breather hose. The issue with the car is that it stalls when under load. It starts up and idles fine, but put it in gear and the it just proceeds to cut off. Put the car on 4 jack stands and put it in gear and no issue, as there is no real load. I can get the car to move tho if I keep the revs high enough to prevent it from falling. Also when I do move it its sounds like an STI with a straight exhaust.
These are the codes that pops up even after clearing them. I do not have Vagcom
1289, 1473, 0102, 0031, 0136, 0445, 0037, 0418, 0412
Also I am missing a gas cap so I will be getting one Thursday so I know some of those emission's codes would clear out. But any idea how to get these dealt with? All help is appreciated
