I bought a 2001 Audi A4 back in January of this year. I drove the car home and the next day the hg went bust. No big deal as I have all of these nice parts laying around I was ready to stuff in. I called the dealer and told him what was up and he said no problem, just wait till I get the title and he would work something out, WRONG. This piece of fecal excrement changes his story and says someone else stole his dealer info and sold me the car illegally. After fighting game him and the dmv I finally get the car registered the vermont route, yes I live in West Virginia but the car is legally registered in Vermont. Took me about 9 months to get that fixed.
So now the car is registered in feel ok about fixing the issues and pull the engine. I have a garage pull it and give me the motor and I work on it. I get it totally rebuilt and return the engine to the garage to get her tucked back in. The next day I get a call and the engine is now locked up. Wtf?!?! It rolled over fine when I gave it to them as I set the timing and checked it personally. So I stop in after work and the bolts I bought were for a dual mass clutch has setup and I have a single mass. The guy installed them and hit them with 1/2" air impact, like the ones you take lug nuts off with. He hit it so hard it dented the main cap and that dented the main bearings causing to seize the engine.
Now here I am stuck again with this car. It's an 01 avant and I love it but damn it does not feel like it's meant to be.
Technically I feel this is their fault, yes I supplied the wrong bolts but you do not torque flywheel bolts with a impact.
