No, the US millworks tow-hook setup works perfectly on our cars, and does not interfere with the parking sensors or the ACC.

The Bose subwoofer is 8" in diameter, but it is much more shallow than the JL 8. You can find threads on here as to how folks use a heat gun to 'stretch' the OEM plastic box a bit in order to fit a JL subwoofer in there. Alternatively, check out Bassers in Poland. They make an awesome custom subwoofer box for the A7/S7/RS7 that fits in the passenger side cubby.

    Thanks, OlyS6!

I've been reading through a number threads (and watched some YouTube vids, including Djpeaksd's great vid), but I couldn't find anything on the depth of either the OEM Bose speaker or sub box. I'm leaning towards modifying the existing sub box vs going custom and filling the passenger side cubby. I'm too afraid to start taking the sub box apart to see - I was just hoping order the JL (assuming it would fit) and have my local stereo guy install it.

Is it just me, or does the rear air vents that arent in the middle stack (the ones placed behind the front seat driver/passenger seat belts) on the door pillar always shoot out cold air? Literally have the heat maxed out, car is hot except for the air coming out of those vents?

How far away from a square tire set up can you go and not cause problems with the ECU? Also, is there a way to change the coding to accept new values?

I don't think you can come up with a variation that would cause issues strictly due to width of wheels/tires on these cars. (Max width is like 12.5" on an RS7?) The only issues will arise from different rolling diameter. You need the rolling diameter to be as close to equal as possible on all wheels/tires. I've heard 6% variable is the max before you start causing issues with the diff.

If you put your RS7 in a trailer on a big rig, and your mega camper and jeep on a second trailer behind that trailer, you'd technically be pulling the mega camper and jeep behind the RS7. ;)

    Thank you.

Yes, the rolling diameter is my concern. 6% is a huge difference (relativity speaking) so is it possible that you heard .6%? Either way, that’s the percent I’m looking for if anyone can confirm.

How sure are you on the 12.5” width and do you recall the rear offset to make that work?

I don't know the offset required (would be different per wheel anyway) but I do know that people have run 12.5" wide wheels. It's just one of those things that (IMO) you need to ask yourself "why?"

Just my opinion but it's a low priority bragging right when you can just perfect your offset with a more reasonable wheel size for the car and save yourself the potential fitment headaches while also saving money for better tires. Sorry for the tangent. Unfortunately I don't have anymore advice but maybe someone else can chime in.

Idiot's? #2 on windows sticker it say I have the $850 Bose surround sound. So what would be the base stero if the b&o is the higher end radio?

    When I got my 2016 S6
Prestige was the only way to get Top View Camera, other Prestige items were LED headlights (became standard in following years), HUD, power trunk, I think some interior LED lighting too but was minimal like accent lighting. LED headlights, HUD and power trunk were add on options from the factory but you had to spec it out that way on a premium plus build which unless you only wanted 1 or 2 of those it was easier to just find a Prestige.

Bose surround was also an option above base but below B&O, believe later years they gave up on the base audio and Bose was standard.

Heres my dumb question, I have a '16 S7 prestige, is it normal for the cooling fans to turn on after i shut off my car after EVERY trip? Even if i just went for a quick 5 min trip to the gas station without pushing the car?

My '16 RS7 does the same thing. Even just a short trip without ever hitting boost, when I turn off the car the cooling fans kick in.

    Sounds normal to me.

as far as it can with full tank of gas, and maybe few more miles down the hill if in Neutral I think it's made due to safety, in case you have kids in your car and forgot the key at home. it would be pretty bad if car turns off in the middle of the twisty mountain road

No worries about that, i do that every morning. The trick is to lock your car with physical key, but unlocking will have to be with physical key as well. I guess all remote functions are blocked once the car is running

You can enable the lap timer which gives you a boost gauge.

There's no way. Audi does not use TPMS, they made their own system that senses if a tire loses pressure. It saves us from having to buy new sensors for each new set of tires.

Only on models with active TPMS (RS7)

Other models calculate rolling tire circumference using the ABS sensors, which has no means of measuring actual tire pressure.

It's not the camera at fault. It's the conversion it goes through to get displayed on the MMI.

Does the RS7 have an eco start/stop mode? Maybe in the hidden efficiency selection? Not that I want it but I noticed the tach needle in my 2016 has a “ready” and “off” position.

I doubt you can. There's an analog to digital converter that creates a resolution the MMI is expecting. Because of the amount of work it takes for 360 view I think Audi was reluctant to change it. Only the latest generation cars like the B9 have the quality improved, and the C8 is most likely the same.
