Thanks. Finally got them in. The wires on mine were very short and the connector didn't come any further than the edge of the hole on all 4 doors. The lights didn't hang at all, but I managed to get a screwdriver in to release the connectors. All in now and very pleased.

I have the same problem which is why I haven't even installed mine yet. Almost considering taking the doors apart to install because the wires are so short.

You don’t want to disassemble the door anymore than you have to or you may end up with squeaks later.

OK I just installed those puddle lights. I got some Audi ring ones on eBay for 10 bucks. It took 15 mins to install, but it's a tough one. The wires are short. If you tug hard, they come out more. I just used my fingers to hold the wire and pushed them in. It's hard to see the alignment of the pins.

Mine was on one side and popped so easily, not sure why yours is giving so much trouble

    Rear door puddle lamps

Has anyone on here wired up the puddle and red door panel lamps on a C7.5? I have them on my front doors and bought them for my rear doors, but not sure of the correct wire position and coding to the rear doors?

Mind sharing the link to where you purchased?

I purchased mine from the link above. They also come with adaptors for the smaller fitting which I needed. The best part about these adaptors is they extend the wiring by about 2 inches which makes reinstallation much easier.

Yip, the door modules need to be told the door now has the puddle lights and supply power accordingly. can find a bit of info on the C6 for what I want to do but I'm sure the wires and coding will most likely be different on the C7.5

Anyone have a DIY fix on the manual steering tilt lever? Knocked mine with my knee and now it's wobbly, works but annoying.

    Thx in advance!

So on my S7, I can't seem to turn traction control OFF. I can push it once to turn Traction Control on sport mode (the symbol turns on in the cluster), but I'm supposed to be able to hold the button down for 10 sec to turn it off completely.

Once I hold the button for 10 seconds, nothing happens though. Only the initial press does anything.

Anyone know why that is? Or am I forgetting something?

Maybe that's the case for cars with adaptive cruise sensors and auto braking? I haven't seen that in my car but I also don't have adaptive cruise... or maybe I'm not looking at the right place where this indicator exists... ?

Ok, narrowing down 2016 or 2017 S6. I recognize Carplay is only in 2017 without mod. Question is does the 2016 MMI features allow you to read text messages or read them to you? I know Apple CarPlay will read them to you, just wondering if MMI in 2016 does anything similar. Prefer to save the money and get 2016, but Carplay may be deciding factor.

CarPlay only in 2017 models, though I believe some people have modified earlier and gotten CarPlay to work.

2016 you can have text messages on the main screen or read out to you. In Europe this is on the MMI High option.

So a stupid question - should my 2015 S6 have squeaky, loud, embarrassing brakes?
disk italia ceramic pads with their rotors. better braking, no noise, no appreciable dust and damn does the slotted/drilled rotors look sweet.

RS7s (in Europe) ceramics are a very expensive option, not a standard fitment.

The RS7s are smaller, but they are also drilled, making then lighter and more efficient.

You have to put some weight on the steering wheel,, stick a small bottle of coke between the spokes or hook some really heavy gold julery on one side of the wheel

The C7/7.5 platforms are not Tesla’s, and the amount of driver assist/autonomy is very limited.

The C8 platform will have significantly improved autonomous running, until then I strongly suggest keeping the coke cans in the drinks holder, the chains around your neck, and your hands on the wheel

Well, the stupid thing is that they very easily could be fully autonomous...The ACC works perfectly. Just this stupid active lane assist is reactive instead of active...It does NOT keep you in the middle of the lane as it should, just bounces you from side to side...This could 100% be resolved by a software/firmware upgrade (EPL/APR could do it for sure), it already has all the required hardware for this (the camera). The camera detects both lines, and just constantly keeps the car equal distance from both.

No idea why Audi didn't implement it like this...In which case, our cars would brake, accelerate, and steer themselves.

On a unrelated note, I lost one of my security lug nuts the other day...Not the lock key, but one of the 4 lug nuts.

What are the chances of being able to just buy a single lug nut somewhere? The others have the letter "E" stamped on the bottom of them, as does my key.

They are factory OEM set, however, I already called my dealership and they are unable to order single lug nuts, only complete kits

You can do the vag com mod to make it act earlier vs later. It will give you an option in the settings.

I'm looking to order an S6 since I can't find the special snowflake I want used in MY17+...

Is there any way to delete the red painted calipers from the S Sport package from factory? All I want is the differential and the dynamic steering...the exhaust is a wash if I decide to shell out on the Akrapovic. I don't want to re-buy the grey calipers...that's silly.

I've seen posts about trying to snag just the wheels from the black optics package while keeping the silver trim (my preference too) - sounds like it isn't something Audi will allow. Does that go for everything? Thanks!

Years ago when I worked at Best Buy they allowed you to transfer the subscription 3 or 5 times, I can’t recall which.
