How warm should the Heated Steering wheel feel?

I barely feel anything and I'm not sure it's working.

    Thanks

Anyway, is the center bore for A7s 66.6 or 66.5? If I get wheels that are 0.01mm off, will I need hub centric rings or not a big enough difference to notice?

Hello. Interested in this device. Much cheaper than rosstech cable.
Other than reseting reminder what else can i do with it ?
Is there big difference between OBDEleven and Rosstch ?

Rosstech is capable of doing much more, especially with troubleshooting and logging.

OBDEleven is like basic rosstech for dummies with some preprogrammed functions but doesn't have access to everything. It might be fine if resetting or reading fault codes and doing a few mods is all you need.

It can do all the VAGCOM codings and adaptations same as Rosstech. The preprogrammed "apps" are just a bonus when you don't want to spend the time to go through making the same changes via long coding, the same long coding you are forced to do with Rosstech.
It also automatically stores all the changes you made in case you want to reverse it. I believe it can also log, but haven't needed to use it. If you are looking to do VAGCOM mods like lowering, green screen, VIM, laptimer, or anything else like the 99% of us, OBDEleven is a good cheap option.

Go with Rosstech if you are not technical or want to do more indepth coding that haven't been discovered yet. They have outstanding support.

I'm under the impression that you can't log every sensor with obdeleven. Also anything with security codes required. I could be wrong though. One thing I'm sure of is that the app is more user friendly than the vcds software.

I've used it for live data monitoring and there's a plethora of sensors and data to choose from, can't say if it's "every" sensor since I don't think anyone knows them all You can do security codes, I've had to do that for some of the codings I've done.

    Easier to use.
    Yes.
Same as Rosstech, you are still modifying the same settings regardless of which tool you use.
Here's a good start of some known VAGCOM mods http://www.audizine.com/forum/showth...-list-and-help

The wording/description of each module may be slightly different between OBDEleven and Rosstech but you are still accessing the same modules on your car. Once you understand how to "translate" the Rosstech instructions to OBDEleven it's a no brainer. But if you are the type that must follow directions to the letter, get a Rosstech since most VAGCOM instructions like in the link above will be based off using Rosstech.

My B7 A4 has down tilting mirrors when reversing (so I can see the curb etc).

Can any A7s do that? How?

AFAIK most modern Audis do this when the passenger mirror is selected with the selector switch...

If I remember correctly you have to switch to right mirror put car in reverse change mirror to desired level then switch out of reverse fox mirror to normal driving setting then when you put your car in reverse with the right mirror selected it should tilt to the level you put it at for parallel parking.

Went to change my puddle lights and was following the instructions from a previous post. Seems simple enough except my existing puddle lights don't seem to want to come out. I can drop the first clip easy enough but the other clip feels very tight as though it would break if I pull any harder. Anyone else have this issue?? Tempted to try again and pull harder but don't want to break anything or pull wiring apart. Does this sound normal?

Mine came out very easily, no resistance at all. Actually installed a 4-ring to puddle lamp under the fronts and was done in 3-5 minutes

Now that I write this I have to ask the silly question...have you tried pulling from the other side? Could be the clip is on the side you’re trying to maneuver from.

Thanks. Will check again tomorrow after work. Gotta be something silly like that. First mod for this car and stuck already. Maybe I'm just getting too old. 😉

New owner of a C7.5 S6 here and have a couple of stupid questions about problems I can't solve.

Is there memory for satellite radio so you can rewind like there is in every other vehicle with SiriusXM since like 2012? I can't seem to figure it out if there is.

Is there a quick way to navigate through artists with apple car play that I can't find? Surely you don't have to scroll all the way through things to get to the end.

Do all vehicles with the driver assist package have the parking assist feature? I can't find it anywhere on mine.

    Thanks fellas

    Nope, it's annoying.

You might be able to write a letter to jump to it but I don't believe so.

One end has a clip. The other end is the electrical connector. I pried mine from the center to see which end was loose and then pulled the loose end down. I used a butter knife to remove and it came in handy when used like a shoehorn for the installation. Another factor is the size of the electrical connector. Some are large, some are small. If yours doesn't match, you need a pair of jumper wires to make the connection.

It is the side with the electrical connector which is tight. I was worried about pulling too hard in case I pulled the wires from the connector. The puddle lights I bought came with an adapter for both sizes..... but haven't got to that part yet. Maybe tonight :)

This one has been bugging me for a while... Adaptive dampening, and adaptive air, as far as suspension is concerned, are two different things, right? Like, if I install a lowering module, or links, and I have the car in comfort mode, I can have a ride that is both soft AND low (vs. stock where low=stiff)?

Guys, I heard somewhere that some C7s (A6/A7, etc) cannot get a regular wheel alignment done...Due to some sensors or cameras.

Instead that must get one done it done exclusively at an Audi dealership for a much higher cost...Does anyone have more info about this?

What package/options are affected by this? I do have ACC for example, but not sure if related?

WRONG! As long as nothing as been done to the Active Cruise Control system you can get a standard toe alignment(not sure on camber). I just went through this after raising my coilover's up on my car then taking it to the dealership for an alignment. I asked specifically about the $650 alignment and they said no as long as the camera's haven't been touched you're fine. But if a non-dealer is telling you this I would just go to your local dealership and have them do it.

I have been experiencing a sputtering even slight jerking under moderate acceleration in my S7. I bought car about 6 months ago.. and Tuned with Epl Stage 1 + Roc Euro intake. I have been switching back oem intake and also to stock Program file.. seems to be more evident when its Tuned. However completely not noticeable at full acceleration ?? Anyone ever noticed this in their S6/S7 ?? Please chime inn I feel like something is wrongly going on.!

You would be correct. The clip is one sided. The side that's giving him problems is the side he shouldn't pull on. Go to the other side, learned the hard way...

I had to reschedule my dealership visit but still feel it's barely getting warm and is inconsistent.

I think this is as good a place as any for my dumb question .... I've never really understood this ... once my S6 is lowered in Dynamic, does the car lower *more* at highway speeds or is it already as low as it goes. Reason I ask, I'm lowered with VCDS and wondering if, again in Dynamic, the car lowers even more at higher speed? That would be getting too low for me. Thx for any input!

Tempted to try again and pull harder but don't want to break anything or pull wiring apart. Does this sound normal?
OK I just tried to change them. What's the secret? Do I just push down (or up since it's at the bottom) forcefully on one side and it should pop out?
