This thread should be sticked at the top of this section

Anyway, is the center bore for A7s 66.6 or 66.5? If I get wheels that are 0.01mm off, will I need hub centric rings or not a big enough difference to notice?

I'm looking for front left and right fog grilles without adaptive cruise control in black optic.

Does anyone know where I can find that? I thought I saw it on ECS but I can't find it anymore.

Why? Because I originally had mine wrapped black and it started to peel up in 1 spot. I'm going to have it re-wrapped but I'd also like to get my order in for the black-optic edition so I don't need to maintain it. lol

Just bought it for my wife two weeks ago, and have what hopefully is a simple, silly question.

Each time she starts it and turns the A/C on, the rear A/C comes on as well, which she'll reach back and turn off if the kids aren't onboard.

Is this in a setting somewhere that can be changed? She wants to turn on the A/C and have only the front A/C come one.

Didn't see anything in the manual..

    Thanks

I know in our cars, this setting is found in Car settings (from the drive select screen) then AC or Climate settings (forgot the name, but it will only show up or be adjustable if the climate control is on) and then rear seat settings. You can adjust it to either mirror the front or leave it independent and hence off.

Not sure about the Q7, although I wouldn’t imagine it being too different.

Hey guys, probably a stupid question but how do you tell which side a caliper is for?

I picked up two front calipers for an A7 from a junkyard but there seems to be no discernible difference between the two? How do I tell which side is driver side and which is passenger side?

Will an S7 rear diffuser / valance fit an S6 rear bumper (and therefore an s-line rear bumper on my C7 A6)?

There seems to be more aftermarket options out there the A7/S7. I understand some people have fit an RS7 rear valance to an C7 and it required some modification, but I haven't come across an S7 one.

I am looking for something a bit more aggressive that will accommodate quad tips.

Will not fit without some heavy modification.

Nvm, got my answer from a gentleman here on the forums.

Bleeder screws always have to be at the top of the calipers. That's how you tell rh from lh calipers

Face palm because you're telling us like it's news the bleeder valve goes on top...air always raises to the top on any caliper lol. This is your first time working on brakes?

You'd be surprised, I asked several guys on the forums this and they couldn't help.

I wasn't touting the valve being on top as news. Just merely following up on my own question on caliper differentiation

Can't believe I'm going to ask this, thank god for this thread.

Having a devil of a time finding an intercooler for the 2.0, is there any other model I could buy for and have it easily fabbed into the same area? I just find it so mind-blowing that I can never find any real parts for this engine. There's not even exhaust that won't have to be modified to work, it's insanely frustrating.

I recently changed the oil on my 2015 RS7 and reset the oil change reminder.
However I still get a service reminder warning.
Can this be reset without going to a dealer?

Does it require some sort of tool like VCDS? If so what are the best options at a reasonable cost?

Yes, you need a Vagcom capable tool. I used OBDEleven tor reset mine. https://shopdap.com/store/vw-audi-sc...obdeleven.html
You can use it to do all the VCDS modifications as well.

Not sure if this has ever been asked but I’ve noticed after warming up my car sometimes my redline will be at 5K and then resort back to about 6400 rpms. I’ve noticed it’s more or less happens when I’ve got less than a 100 range on my gas. Anyone else run into this?

That happens every time your car is cold and the engine isn't warmed up to stop people from doing stupid things before the car is warmed up!

You don't need to brake boost these cars they are twin turbo usually you would hold the e brake and give the car gas. Just keep the car in a higher range they will spool almost instantly.

so....had my car services at 5000 miles (Audi Denver), had an oil change done (supposedly) but a few days ago got the engine light on saying to add no more than 1.5 quarts....find this kind of odd as these cars potentially can go 10K without a change....if the change had been done at 5K miles and i now have 835X miles....doesnt it seem odd that i'd be low? have not seen any leaks indicating the turbo seal may be leaking....i am paranoid and thinking the dealership didnt do the oil change....planning to either top it off with the proper oil or calling the dealership and letting them top it off....either way. havent checked the level yet, but figured when i do, if the oil is dark then maybe they didnt change the oil? would prefer to top off after checking but was wondering which oil to use....5w40 or 5w30? any recommendations?

vw507 oil is what you need/want to use, and that spec is always 5w30, although I also personally prefer 5w40.

    But I won't use a non-507 oil so switched.

When I turn on the AC I notice (even when the temp is set to 77 degrees) the AC comes on and starts blowing cooled air. It kicks out cool air for a while and then eventually get to temp (or around that set temp area) 5-10 mins later. Is this normal?

I also see a lot of water condensation under the car when I actually have the temp low during the summer..

It works as a dehumidifier for the car at initial turn on.

How common is an A7 with no air ride suspension? Mine is a European model and it doesn't have air suspension (does have other audi connect options).

Do all A7s in the US have air suspension?

There are exactly 0 A7's in the USA with OEM air ride. They're all on springs here.

Huh? But don't they all have the MMI setting to raise and lower the car via Audi connect? Doesn't that require air suspension?

No they have a static ride height and only adjustable dampers. They get a choice of stiff or soft ride, not height adjustable.

    Very interesting...In Europe, some A7s have air suspension adjustments via MMI, like;

    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=egZqgdBpza8

Was it at least an upgrade option? Or only S6/7 and above?

It's standard on S6/7/RS7. No upgrade options for A6/A7 to my knowledge. Aftermarket only.
