Hi guys; I just purchased a 2001 Audi TT 225hp convertible I get 3 codes including the random misfire P0300, cyl. #1 misfire P0301 cyl. #3 misfire P0303. I have purchased an OBD II scan tool with ABS bout $140.00 and it gives me the same read out I first took the car to Autozone and on the print out above random misfires it says to inspect for faulty vacuum hose so I started checking my hoses and found quit a few dry and brittle hoses have replaced those but then the battery went dead and lost all the memory in the (Auto check system) So Im told the car has to be driven for almost 100mi. of both city and highway driving. now just sitting in my driveway the car has sprung a leak and all the coolant came out. Im getting a little worried because its the first Audi I have ever owned and it wont pass smog and the other problems so I dont give up easily and I am determined to fix this car Im retired and would love nothing better t5han to learn about this automobile

2001 TT Rag Tp Turbo coolant leak

Thank You for the quick response; But I have 15 days left on the temporary moving pass from the DMV in Las Vegas. It feels like im under the gun. Can you give me a briefing on my pcv system (Im no mechanic but have been a electronic tech)video) all my life. I just purchased the shop manual (digital ver.) is it possible that the smog problem is due to the battery change? As far as the leak goes since it was sitting in my driveway when it started leaking I feel that it might be a cracked hose or at worse the radiator, I have to get under the car man is it LOW I was looking at some portable lifts today and might get one possibly used. This is fun for me as I really miss working on equipment. My real passion is my Bikes (2015 Victory, 2009 Yamaha V-Star 650, 2002 Kaw. ZR7S) Let me say I really appreciate your and everyone else input So HAPPY HOLIDAY to everyone and I will keep this post updated as to my results. L.A.

Not the smog problem is not the to battery change...write down all the codes if u can get a copy of the freeze frame using the scanner do that..then clear the codes..look for vacuum leaks..if you already checked all the coils and park plugs..and are all ok..
