Yeah, looks like they broke the sensor off and just ziptied it back to the mount instead of admitting they broke it.

It also looks like an aftermarket mount...that doesn't look stock...or maybe it's missing the "cover"...

If it isn't throwing an error code then don't worry about it. I replaced my mounts recently and left the sensor unplugged; I have yet to get an error code.

Leaving them unplugged will not trigger a fault code, you will just see the code if you're using vag com.

And they don't really seem to work anyway. My mounts were completely shot and I didn't have any code for it. Maybe someone could enlighten me

I put in RS4 mounts that don't have sensors, so now I'm getting a soft code for them

yeah someone posted a pic a couple days ago of one broken off and hanging down

Why on earth would you want a sensor on a motor mount ? what does it do ?

I would say with all due respect its not likely to be a sensor at all. more likely to be some type of actuator to control damping.

No its is a sensor. It probably detects lateral movement. You can put resistors there to prevent the soft code. I installed 034 mounts, lovely ride.

Cheers for the info guys, I'll secure it and forget about it. They have also done something to my front Fogs. Probably disconnected them but i haven't had time to check yet. Both are out with a warning light.
