The 5th Annual Ortega Audi run is coming soon! Mark your calendars for the first Saturday in January the 7th.

Hard to believe it's been a whole year since the 4th cruise. This year we will be keeping everything pretty much the same as last time unless people vote for a different time or route. Tentatively meet-up time will be any time after 8am and departing by 9am (SHARP!) .

Here is the meet-up location. Northwest Open Space 30291 Camino Capistrano, San Juan Capistrano, CA 92675 image of entrance. Last year a few people had trouble finding the entrance so this year we have a photo to help out a bit.



IF YOU NEED TO GET GAS BEFORE WE LEAVE - On Crown Valley there is Costco Gas just west of the exit and off Avery parkway is a Shell, Arco and Chevron.

Many of you will remember Matt (AZ-IBroughtACamera) who took amazing photos during last years event. I'm checking to see if he's going to head out again this year as well! Click the photos below to see some pics. Show up early/on-time to have your car photographed.


The Route: Click the image below to see the map.


Basic Itinerary: Meet-up in San Juan (link above) anytime after 8AM.
- Leave the meeting spot by 9AM to head out past the historic Mission San Juan Capistrano onto Ortega and out to the first photo spot (also the first Bail-out spot for people wanting really a short run).
- Fun photo shoot and maybe a few snowballs then head down to Lake Elsinore
- Head South to De Luz Rd (Awesome drive)
- Lunch at Nessy Burger.
- Head Home or small group of left overs cruise back to the OC with me.

Let me know if you need bail-out directions or have any questions. I'll have my usual safety stuff riding with me just in case anyone has any auto problems: Tow line, water, oil, jumpers, Tire pump, tools and DUCT TAPE!

As usually all updates will be made to this first post.

I've thought about doing it in the middle of the summer at Midnight. "Midnight Madness" . I'm just afraid that someone who was not as familiar with the road would wreck their car. I do 2am runs on it quite often. Its the best time to drive it.

Amazing idea. It's my daily commute to work. I love it when my end destination is not work.

Hey Brad, you have thrown some pretty amazing events! It's comes as high praise from you that you miss this one. Thanks! Would love to have you attend again this year. Summer tires are more fun in the snow anyway. My guess is that it was a once in a lifetime experience at the photo location from two years ago having snow. Look forward to hanging with you again.

Thanks. Also, we have a new addition to the family, a new Beagle puppy. He'll be getting his last set of shots on the 9th. So hard to leave him, but maybe my Wife would stay home with him and I could bring my Son. Depending on the snow. Who knows, it could be Santa Anas and 80 that day. I'll let you guys know.
