    Sad day for my a7

    I was involved in a fender bender this morning every one is ok...but my car is just painful to look at my headlights are crack,grill crack,bumper crack,hood folder,passenger side fender folded,probably some internal damage who knows.can anyone give me some advice to take as to I never been In a accident before?and will my insurance most likely total my car since it's probably expensive?

    Hard to tell without pics but as far as I know it is pretty hard to total a car as expensive as an A7 without airbags going off.

    Don't beat yourself up about it. Accidents happen. If that's your first one then you're doing better than most of here

    I wouldn't be so sure. Someone ran a red light and hit me, here's a small pic of the damage. Doesn't look like much does it? $31,000 in repairs...

    I got awfully close to totaling the car. Headlights alone are $2500/each.

    Princesur22. Your car doesn't look like a total loss. They should be able to get it back to its former glory.

    Xtek. Your S6 looks like it bore the major brunt of the accident. Would definitely cost a lot to fix it. What did the insurers say?
    Edit - Just read your post again. It's a wonderful car. Would love to see it back in perfect condition.

    Sorry to hear that man glad your okay though. I just went through the same thing man but mine was a lot worse on my a7, anyways I have a passenger side light almost be condition I will let it go cheap!!!!

    Don't forget to file a Diminished Value Claim against the other party if it was deemed their fault. Even if fully repaired, your car is now worth less simply because it has been involved in an accident.

    Also, do not buy into the Insurance co. argument that you can not claim diminished value unless you are actually trying to sell or trade the car. This is a tactic they use to make it difficult for you to make the claim. The damage happened NOW, and the loss in value to your car is NOW.

    No chance that car is totaled. Insurance just put 19k in my 2014 a6 3.0 after being rear ended.

    Good luck with repairs and be patient. File the DV claim if it wasn't your fault!

    Good news it's not total its estimated to be 16k in damages all parts will be coming from Audi of silver spring .filed a DV claim today.THANKS GUYS I APPRECIATE ALL THIS ADVICE
