About to do a coolant flush. Is 1 galllon of VW/Audi g12 and 1 galllon of distilled water enough ? And will just pulling the lower radiator hose be fine for flushing the system ? Thanks in advance

I used half a gallon of g12 and half a gallon of distilled water. I never got the reservior to drain down and the heater never made hot air. I think thermostat or heater core.

That should be fine, remove lower rad hose and drain engine block from the rear, there is a drain bolt between the engine and trans on the drivers side of the engine.

You don't have to, but wouldn't it be beneficial to drain all the coolant consider your "flushing" the system.
