    2.7T B5 swap into 2003 B6 - TCU question

    Hello All,

I have started the swap of a 2002 B5 2.7T into my old 3.0L B6 A4 chassis. Unfortunately the free engine I got had a manual harness attached. I am keeping the existing '03 tiptronic automatic transmission as I just don't have the money or time to swap the transmission out at this time.

My question: On the B6 chassis, the TCU is located under the ECU. It seems all the 2002/1 automatic harnesses I am finding do not seem to have the TCU connector and associated wiring in them. Am I missing something fundamental? Can I rip out the existing B6 TCU wiring out of the stock B6 harness and be OK replacing the rest of the harness with the automatic harness I have been seeing online and then using Clint's jumper harness?

I'm at a standstill 'till I solve this so I am greatly appreciative of any answers that might be out there.

    Thanks,

    Bill

P.S. I'll share my progress here if anyone is interested as I'm sure I'll have more questions as I go along.
