Hesitation, a4 b7

When my engine is cold, when I first press the gas petal, there is a hesitation before the car speeds up. It actually goes initially, then hesitates, before taking off. I've noticed when the car is warm, it doesn't do it so often. I just replaced spark plugs and ignition coils. The car has 70,000 miles. Could this be a pcv?? I can take the oil cap off no problem while the car is running, no idle change. If I remove the cars oil dips tick, then the cars idle bounces around and I hear a whistling sound from the dips tick tube. Maybe this is a cam position sensor??? Any thoughts?

Have you checked the codes e.g. with VCDS? If so what are the codes?

No codes, I think it is the hesitation that plaques these engines according to other posts

If you have vcds check measurement blocks 32 and 33 in engine module when the car is fully warmed up, its your short and long term trim. You want long term to be close to 0%, if its over means you have vacuum leak and oxygen sensor command injectors to add fuel to support extra air that gets in involved in combustion. In b7 its usually pcv, purge valve (also will cause hard start after fueling the car)
