    Headlamp/fog light condensation - 2017 S3

When I was dropping off the car to have clear bra installed, walked around the car to make sure everything was in order. Noticed there was condensation around the fog lights on both the driver and passenger side headlamps. Car is not even a month old, a bit surprised and disappointed.

Most housing are vented (bi xenon lamps especially due to heat) so a slight amount of condensation is normal, especially if it's overcast and rainy/humid outside, parked in shade/cool areas. Typically burns off after the headlamps have warmed up...

I wouldn't be worried unless it becomes a consistent issue and/or you get pooling of water in the housings.

Interesting Audi designed it to be that way. Being the headlamps are LED, it may take awhile for it to burn off. This is my first Audi and seeing this caught me by surprise. Being the only car in the parking lot with moisture in headlights, that's a bit embarrassing.

This must be annoying for the guy at the Audi dealerships have to turn on every car everyday.

Its not specific to Audi...hence your sarcasm. LEDs generate heat too. Walk through a dealer's lot on the east coast when it was cold over night but warming up quickly. You guys in Cali just aren't used to humidity

Interesting how this is a norm. Guess since this is my first Audi and not used to having my cars do this surprised me.

Huh...never seen that on my '16 S3. It gets pretty cold in the SF Bay Area, but my car is garaged at night. As long as it clears up I would not be concerned. Additionally, it is under warranty so if it persists and does not clear up, let Audi check it out.

I agree, it does get cold in Cali and we do have humidity unlike Arizona.

Well, good thing for warranty. Makes me wonder what other quirks Audi has.

I would take pictures of it and save until you go to the dealer for something else service etc. If it does it when raining really hard that is somewhat normal, it shouldn't do it when it is just humid outside. In the B6 A4/S4 days the bi-xenons had a undersized o-ring that let moisture in and they would fog up with the slightest hint of moisture. It is not worth its on trip.
