I know I'm reaching out to a pretty narrow market, but here goes...
If you are in the SF bay area, are running a set of "Titanium Peelers" - aka 20" B8 S-Line Plus or B8.5 Black Optics/Exclusive wheels - and you'd be much happier with a set of 21" SQ5 wheels, let's talk.
My 21's are mounted on OEM Pirellis, and the set has 5,300 miles. There is a small bit of rash on one wheel, which also scarred the sidewall. (Yes, this was traumatic. Yes, I still feel like an idiot.) The damage happened at ~ 1,100 miles, and is strictly cosmetic. My local dealer (Burlingame) quoted $350 for a 100% repair. That number certainly carries markup, but I'm willing to use it as we negotiate terms. Otherwise, wheels and tires are in excellent condition, and the wheels have two coats of Optimum Gloss Coat on them. Brake dust literally wipes right off the wheels, and the finish is rich and glossy.
In return, I'm after a set of Peelers that are in equal-or-better condition. I'm not overly concerned about tire brand or tread wear, other than I'd prefer to not have to immediately drive to the tire store for a new set.
I think it's fair to say I'm offering up the pricier set, but I'm not really after cash in the transaction. If you've got a nice set of 20's in great condition, let's do this. If your tires are bald, perhaps we talk cash, but other than making sure we're both happy with the terms, I'm not picky. Ideally, we meet up (my place or yours, although I do have two floor jacks, a reputable shop...whatever) and spend 30-45 minutes doing the swap.
At this point, I'm not interested in any other wheels, and my set isn't up for direct sale. (If I strike out here, it's likely I'll pursue a set of 20" BBS wheels, but for now...)
