I have been contemplating buying the RS3 or TTRS but after driving a 911 GT3 on the track a few months ago i have been dying for a Porsche. Like most of you a GT3 is far from realistic so i started looking for something more realistic and just picked up a 2000 911 C2 with only 27k miles with full service records and all of the expensive fixes like the IMs and RMS already done.

lots of mods already ordered and many more to come before spring :)

the s3 is staying for my DD

Thats awesome, it's nice to have main/secondary vehicles so that one can really invest in performance

Porsche, the ultimate driving machine, great choice! Other than the issues with the RMS and the IMs, the 996 is a pretty darn reliable engine. Congrats on the purchase, I wish I could keep my S3 and pick up a cayman as a third car.

Great choice. I have had many 996's and they are a great platform. AND you have service history and IMS and RMS done.

There is no substitute! Nice job
Although I have not given up on an RS3... I want one as a daily to compliment the F150 and GT3 RS
Just hoping I can get one with Voodoo Blue paint!

The 996 is one of the best deals in Porsche cars at present. Good reliability and fun to drive.
