Let's talk turkey, engine mods and style mods, need opinions.

So ive been doing research and putting a list together here, and I wanted to get everyones opinion on modifications. Specifically, what has been most cost effect for everyone, and what brands they prefer. As far as the engine goes, I don't want to invest boat loads of money into engine mods and have to build a monster that is difficult to daily or winds up nuking the trans. The car is only a 09 quattro with the 6 speed tiptronic, I dont expect it to be a 5-600hp monster by any means. I've been trying to learn about these engines, but the tuning and modding seems to be very isolated to brand. For instance if your buying a tune from APR, typically you buy APR parts and so on and so forth. However I feel ive come up with some alternatives that would net a decent amount of power. So far I have down...

    USP 3" HFC Downpipe
Eurocode high flow intercooler charge pipe
Revo or APR carbino intake system
    Wagner Tuning Intercooler kit
APR Stage 2 tune (dont really know of any good alternatives from what ive researched)

I figure that will net me about 250-275 wheel horsepower, which is what im looking for out of this car. As far as the style mods go, its a white car, so im looking for some really nice black accents. I want a RS4 style front grill, but I cant find one that fits a USDM license plate (stupid NJ) and ive also become really interested in the LED fog light covers that run with the DRL's. However I dont want LED's burning out 3 months later, so im looking for a high quality brand for a set of those. I think they look pretty sick. Thoughts on this direction im planning on taking?

Looks like you've pretty much got it down as far as improving the hp. APR is more or less the standard as far as tuning for our cars. Other members will argue otherwise and they'll all have good merits. In the end though, it's APR's R&D that puts them on top. Put another way, if the tune or ECU shits the bed, who has better customer support and backs their products better.
The alternative to upgrading the ecu program would be to swap tjrcfsctory K03 turbo and bump up to a K04. Youll def need a beefed up intercooler, HFC and exhaust to maximize the yield.
Do take into consideration that if you're going to step up that much hp-wise, you should look into upgrading your brakes. If you're going that much faster, you'll want/need better stopping power. The rest I'd go with suspension mods or beefier sway bars, adjustable front upper control arms if you're going to lower vehicle/run with bigger wheels + tires. I'd start there.

The turbo system on these car's is kinda new to me, im coming from LS engines and Ecotec's from over in the GM crowd. The eco turbo setup like on the LK9 or the LNF on the turbo cobalt's or saab 9-3's is separated from the manifold. So it's typically not that much of an issue to find a turbo upgrade. Upgrading to a K04 is something i really really want to do but alot of the kits, like what APR has are very very expensive and I am trying to weigh if its worth investing that kinda money into the car considering ive only paid 10.5k for it. IC and downpipe, all par for the course IMO, brakes, i got USP SS brake lines coming in that i picked up for 41.7x something on black friday, full set, cant wait to get those in. EBC pads and rotors is about as far as ill take the brakes as far as im concerned, ive had other car's with similar brake setups in the same weight class that handled just fine with what they had as long as you used quality parts. Bigger wheels and tires absolutely, id love to get a set of black wheels, light weight 16lb enkei's would be fantastic. Aside from keeping the suspension in good condition, this car out handles any car i have ever owned in my entire life. A nice upper strut tower brace would be good, but I wont push it much beyond that, unless the sway bar's are so dinky that it becomes an issue, im a drag racer not an autox guy so I only have to worry about straight lines lol its the transmission that is sloppy to me, from what I am coming from.

couple questions for anyone that may know, how many speakers are in the audi symphony system and is it amplified? my system sounds awful compared to my old monsoon and pioneer 220watt factory amplified systems in previous cars. Id like to get some aftermarket speakers to throw in there to improve the sound quality some. Also, besides the APR K04 upgrade kit, is there any cheaper alternatives to bigger turbos?

There's plenty of threads on these subjects. The search bar in the top right is useful, it'll look at AZ and other sites for what you need.

Thanks, an actual answer would have sufficed just fine however. Seeing as how i've already used the search.

You have 8 speakers, B&O have 10. The amp is in the trunk in the left fender well.
