Launch control only operating/engaging in neutral? 01e 6 speed?

Just pulled my engine to button up a few things and everything went back together smoothly. Stage 3 6 speed with daz tuned launch control. F21 turbos and all other supporting mods. I didn't change any electrical components but might have hooked something up wrong. I've done a few 2.7 swaps recently and a few other 2.7 big turbo builds without issue. My problem here is with the launch control which worked flawlessly before the engine pull. Now, the launch control will only engage in neutral which gets me nowhere. Going through normal launch control procedure just pegs the rpm needle with no signs of proper operation. The launch control is still tuned into the ecu but why is it deciding to operate in neutral with my feet off of both brake and clutch pedals?? Anyone experience this before?

Sounds like your clutch switch is bad and it's reading that you are pressing the clutch when your not. I'm not sure why since you reinstalled be motor it's now not operating correctly but it's pointing to your clutch switch. If you have vcds check mvb 66. You should not see any 0s in the clutch switch field with your foot off of the clutch and show 1's when you press the clutch pedal. If you see 1s with your foot off of the clutch than your clutch switch is bad.

From the rosstech wiki for mvb66

Thanks for your input. I did replace the clutch switch with a brand new unit and still no dice.

Correction, it wasn't the clutch safety switch that I replaced, it was the clutch cruise control button. I will investigate what you mentioned above.
    Thanks

There are a few conditions for LC to engage:

    1. Speed must be below threshold, usually 5 kmh
    2. Coolant temp must be above threshold usually 80c (check coolant sensor readout, if coolant sensor is borked then you won't LC).
    3. Clutch pressed in to engage clutch switch.
    4. Gas pedal pressed enough to reach LC rpms.

Thanks for the input. Just interesting that launch control wants to engage in neutral while standing still and both feet off of the clutch and brake.
