Hey,
I just bought my 2016 RS3 with 5k km. I enjoy the car tremendously after having many other sports cars. I drive my cars hard but I also know how to care for them. I've noticed that when applying my brakes to come to a full, hard stop (about 80% pressure) there is a noticeable grinding sound with no steering wheel vibration. The guys I drive with that have M2's and M5's also notice with their cars similar braking issues but they have vibrations as well. I have asked many a mechanic what this could be and no one has a clue. I must add that I have lots of pad left. To go to an Audi specialist that perhaps would agree to change my rotors and pads would be awesome; however, how could I prevent this from happening again. I don't track the car but I do drive in the twisties. Thanks
