I just picked up a 2013 S6 Estoril Blue Crystal with black/lunar silver interior. I'm receiving it on Monday!

I've been a B7 A4 since 2006, and with a family of three, I needed a toy that would be a better, reliable car to commute in for me and the fan (let be honest most for me).

I've been trying to catch up on the popular mods and of course I'm going to start the first debate...

    1. Which tune is best in terms of performance, customer service, and value? I am most familiar with APR, GIAC, REVO, and JHM. at the time for my B7 I went most conservative with the GIAC-X tune. My gut says find an APR dealer since they offer Stage 2 with downpipes but I'm intrigued by EPL and offering their version that allows me to reprogram back to stock for warranty work. I have a feeling it isn't fully transparent to a dealer.

    2. Does my VCDS cable still work and are there some common vag com changes I should make? I read about lowering height... Can this be done only for dynamic mode so other family members don't have to fear for fucking up my car if they drive it in comfort mode?

    3. Can stock software support race gas if I want to take it to the strip?

    4. Any common issues I should look out for while it is CPO?

    5. Does the stock exhaust have valves that open/close for sound purposes or if this only offered on aftermarket exhausts?

I'll post pics when it comes in. Can't wait!!

    Congrats on the rocket saloon

As for tune I just went with EPL because I can flash at home and they offer a few tunes just like APR nontune is warranty safe and. Ring able to flash back to stock when I want is a huge plus to me but do your research since all the tunes seem to work well

Vag com lowering is easy but I'm not sure what you ask is possible

Stock software can work with 100oct but your leaving a lot of power in the trash with out a tune for it

I didn't seee unitronic anywhere on your list but thought I'd mention them. I've gad APR, epl, and unitronic for past cars and chose unitronic for my s6 because I wanted flash at home capability, consistent power delivery and great customer service from John and the team.

If you want stage 1 it seems APR and unitronic are trapping the highest , so far epl results with stage 1 haven't been the best
Stage 2 results show that APR, unitronic and epl all run very well

Thanks the only thing I wish I had was the sports diff and black optic. How does the sports diff feel?

I've never driven one without so I can't compare. I will tell you that you can definitely feel it working. Really feels like it pulls the ass end around.

Whoops you're right I was mistaking another package that comes on the A6 which was the sport package with sport suspension when I was initially thinking I would get the A6. Glad I convinced myself to go big!

What a surprise, lol. Email Audi for the window sticker so you can see everything you have.

Really? When I built my S6, the ports package included the sports diff (you can see that on the Audi website). I didn't think it was standard on the S6.

What's the surprise? First thing to always ask for is the Monroney.

Your 2017 is a C7.5 aka post-facelift. On prior C7 S6's sport diff was standard.

Finally got her in. Had to wash her twice to get all the salt and road dirt off of her from the transport from Utah. I'm going to have to get it polished and waxed as most of you know that the Estoril Blue crystal effect Is notorious for swirl marks.
