Swap roof antenna?

Is caring about this pointless?

I think some '05 got thin Sharkfin and '04 was large Dolphinfin.
I'm probably wrong.

I kinda wanna swap to the thinner one, in order to reduce drag causing +5MPG and faster 0-60mph accel.
Does it not look cooler..

I think many of them got it. I've only seen a few without it.

I've used an aftermarket JVC headunit, and OE Symphony. Not sure if I should get Symphony II+ or what.
I'm not sure what it does. Increase radio station sound quality? IDK.
Or create range for navigation, which my car didn't come with at all? Or SOS button?

I think certain US '02 got RNS-D with color cluster.

And IF it's not useful, I'd probably still keep it since there's already a circular hole cut in the roof for it. What else would I do, fill it with a rubber plug? That would look worse.

I guessed it was a NA option, no UK / Euro B6 models had roof antennas, I think they look pretty cool, though.

UK cars with factory RNS were also fitted with color DIS in the instrument cluster.

I don't have one on mine, and my reception is horrible. Come to think of it, mine's been horrible since I bought the car in 2011. Where is the antenna located on B6 A4's without the "fin"?

I think the roof antenna is just for satellite radio.

FM/AM antennas are in the rear window.

I belive only cars with sat radio and nav got roof antennas.My b6 avant does not have a roof antenna,no sat radio.I did add rnse unit to the car and placed a antenna behind the cluster.

I'm pretty sure it uses the same part. Here is a TSB on the issue. The crack can also affect the key fob range.
