    Brake help...

I just replaced my front brakes and rotors. Went smooth but im pretty terrible about bleeding the system. It was a little soft after installing so i took it to get a full brake flush but i dont see a difference. Theres about 2 -3 inches before the brake actually feels like it engages. After 1 pump it definitely stiffens up and gives it a much better brake. Anyone that has done the front brakes and gotten this result and found a fix?

The brakes work and brake decent, its just not that original "new brake" or "new car" braking where the sensitivity is so high you have to readjust how hard you press on the brake.

I also have the same feeling but I assume its just the way that they are supposed to work, only had the car since tuesday and everything was done by a dealer.

thanks for the info, makes me wonder if its just due to a "worn booster" or something. My GF's brand new bmw is so sensitive when i get in her car...and when i drive a new audi when mines in the shop they are just as sensitive...

generally speaking the soft pedal or travel distance usually has to do with just worn out brake lines (rubber lines), if the booster or master cylinder was bad in any respect, the pedal would just go to the floor or the brakes wouldnt grab very well. Seems like your describing the same thing, very little brake for a short distance of the pedal and then all the sudden its like glue to the wheels. Makes it very jerky and you have to get adjusted to it.
